Are you looking for a way to make YouTube videos load up faster on your computer? This could be a problem if you have a slow Internet connection, which can cause videos to “freeze”. This is caused by the fact that the video is being downloaded into the buffer.

There are a couple of ways you can ensure that videos from YouTube are loading faster and steaming with fewer interruptions, so read on to find out what.

Method 1: Add stop button to YouTube video player. By default, if you press the Pause button on a video in YouTube, the red bar will continue moving, meaning that the video is being buffered. This is fine for fast connections, but will cause the freeze issue on slow connections.

Using a Firefox script, you can add a Stop button to a video which will prevent it from buffering the video. In this way, you can have multiple videos open and watch one while the rest are stopped.

You need to install Greasemonkey and then install the stop script. You should see a button above the video now:

Note that this script is useful when you have multiple videos open in different browser windows. If you are just watching one video, pausing is better because you can let it buffer a good amount of the video before pressing play.

Method 2: Download and install the SpeedBit Video Accelerator software. The cool thing about this program is that when you watching a video on YouTube, it will open up multiple connections to the video on the servers and download different parts of the video at the same time.

So instead of just starting the download from the beginning and moving towards the end, SpeedBit will download the video like your BitTorrent client downloads torrents, different sections all at once.

It will significantly reduce the video freeze and buffering issues with YouTube and will also accelerate YouTube videos that are embedded in other sites like MySpace, blogs, etc.

Method 3: Another way to load YouTube videos faster is to use the Fast Forward feature. Just click anywhere on the player bar and the video will load from that position.

Pretty simple trick, but I didn’t know this for the longest time! Definitely helps when you have a longer video and only want to see a latter part of it.

Method 4: Download the video to your computer. If none of these are working and you are still having issues, then it might be better to just download the video to your computer!

There are a million ways to download YouTube videos to your computer, but I’ll only mention one and that is Vixy.net because it lets you download and convert to another format such as AVI, MOV, MP4, MP3, or 3GP.

That’s it! There’s really nothing else you can do to load YouTube videos faster other than getting a faster Internet connection! Enjoy!

Spyware is not a miracle or magic. But it makes you feel so. When does it enter into your machine, you actually have no idea of it. And you find things happening automatically as if someone is really keeping an eye on you and specifically monitoring your works in the computer. You are apparently right regarding the spyware threat but not exactly correct in your interpretation.

Know the doors that allow spyware in.

It is after all your fault that you don’t notice that an intruder is peeping in and slowly crawling inside when it finds that the route is safe to get in. this is exactly how the spyware safely makes its way inside your computer system.

The first road to enter is the free download process. There are websites carrying spyware programs. And as soon as you make the click on the particular site, the process of downloading initiates. One of the programs in the site might be the spyware that you did not know was hidden over there. But once you have downloaded the site, you have also invited the spyware to your computer system.
If you have tracked it then without any further delay just install spyware removal software and throw the nuisance factor out. Or else, the creator of the spyware who has implanted it in your operating system will easily steal your documents.

Pay bigger price for your temptations

Most spyware enter because you can’t resist your temptations. Whenever you come across a provision of free download of simple wallpaper or even a screen saver you automatically click it and it’s the spyware again. Pop up ads are the biggest problem creators and can creep in anytime and make space in your system even if you don’t welcome it. As soon as you find such things, it is always advisable to cancel or delete it. Take no risk to keep safety of whatever you are working with.

Install spyware removers as a prevention

The cure for spyware is yet to be programmed but preventions are already available. If your business is to deal with online networking process and that’s precisely your source of income, you must play with risk. You still have time to protect your computer system from the spyware attack by installing a safe spyware removal program. But before you do so just check out the authenticity of the program to avoid any further trouble.

1. Copy Plain Text
This extension gives you complete control over rich text by stripping it plain. Perfect for research or quoting other sources without links and formatting you don’t want or need.

2. Split Browser
Pasting from one tab to another can be cumbersome. This extension makes the process a breeze by splitting your browser window into two (or three, or four) panels, allowing for instant copying and pasting between pages.

3. Resizable Text Area
This extension makes text input areas flexible by allowing you to resize them as you like. Give your writing the room it needs to breathe.

4. AutoCopy
Clever little time-saver which automatically adds text to the clip-board as soon as you select it.

5. ScrapBook
When gathering research for an article you’ll often find yourself cutting and saving snippets of text from various websites. ScrapBook is a simple, bookmarks-style interface designed to make this process quick and painless.

6. Signature
Every web writer finds themselves re-using certain snippets of text again and again — whether it’s your byline or the HTML code you use for that image in every article. Signature allows you to save these snippets and access them at any time via the right-click menu. Lovely.

7. Dictionary Search
Search Dictionary.com from the Firefox search bar. Great for answering that perennial question: does the word I’m using mean what I think it means, or am I about to embarrass myself?

8. Zotero
For more in-depth research work this extension is a slick and powerful way to track sources, references and citations. Also includes refined note-taking capabilities.

9. Text Area Word Counter

If you are facing problems with your computer, especially the blue error screen coming up again and again, or your system is only booting in safe mode, then there is a strong possibility that your computer is having a faulty device driver.

Now how to identify a faulty driver, if you look at the list of drivers, you will find more than 100 drivers, and its not easy to find the faulty drivers from that list, neither it is possible to reinstall each one.

Microsoft provides you with the solution by providing a little tool called Verifier. This allows you to check which driver is faulty and a error message that will help you know which driver is faulty and you can then replace it or reinstall it. Here is a look at the use of it.

1. Go to Start –> Run and type “verifier“.

2. Select first option of “Create Standard Settings”, click Next, and then choose the option according to the problem you are facing. If you are technical enough, you can select “Select drivers name from a list”, and choose the driver which you think is responsible for the problem. If you are not sure then you can select “Automatically select all drivers installed on this computer”. and then Click Next, and Finish the process.

3. Now Reboot your computer, you will see the list of drivers to be verified at startup, and if you have a faulty driver, then you will get a blue screen, with the error message. You can get the faulty driver from that and thus can reinstall it or can be rectified.

4. After this when you have recognized the faulty driver, login back in your windows and you need to stop this service. To do this, Go to Start –> Run and type in “verifier /reset“. This will stop this service and you will not get the verifier window at startup again.

So it pays to get it right, whether you are optimizing your website meta-tags, post titles or working out which keywords to use in your next Google Adwords campaign. You can’t do a slapdash job otherwise you’ll find that your nice shiny new website doesn’t get any visitors.

I used to find it extremely tiring researching keywords. I’d be sitting in front of Google or Yahoo for ages typing in random phrases and seeing what popped up. I’d be looking at places such as Technorati or Google Blog Search and I would still be clueless as to what keywords I should be using to make my blog more accessible to the discerning web surfer. But then I discovered a neat free little program called “Good Keywords” which takes all the stress out of the process. It’s such a great program that Search Engine Watch called it “a keeper”.

The website that offers “Good Keywords” also offers various other keyword-related programs such as Keyword Pad (for managing long lists of keywords) and Keyword Explorer which analyzes keyword phrases. But the real jewel in the crown is “Good Keywords”.

“Good Keywords” is a tiny 500kb program which gives you several options when you start it. The main feature - and the real goldmine in my opinion - is the “Keyword Suggestions” box. This links to Yahoo and Overture and when you enter a keyword in the box, it goes to Yahoo and Overture and instantly brings back LOTS of variations of the keyword along with the number of search engine queries for those keywords over the past month (the most popular keyword phrase being at the top).

By entering your keywords into this program, you can find out right away the search query habits of Internet users so you can know which keywords to include and which ones to exclude. Not only it can make your titles more Google / Yahoo friendly, but also can make a financial difference for the better if you are running an Adwords campaign where the wrong keywords could end up costing you a lot of wasted money.

Other options that the program gives you includes possible misspelled variations of a keyword, a keyword phrase builder, a website analyzer (which tells you the site’s PageRank as well as the number of other sites that link to it) and a keyword organizer.

“Good Keywords” is freeware and it never nags you to register for anything and it never asks for an email address. It is simply just a great little tool which fills a big need. This is most definitely a keeper on my PC.

You can download the software from Here.

Nemertes Research recently predicted that the broadband infrastructure in the United States will reach maximum capacity by 2010. The study says that the system will collapse because of this overload, but, more importantly, says the situation is inevitable unless there is a 60 to 70 percent increase in investment in broadband infrastructure. The report, titled, The Internet Singularity, Delayed: Why Limits in Internet Capacity Will Stifle Innovation on the Web, says that, although the dynamic nature of the Internet will prevent a total breakdown, users will experience “Internet brownouts,” which are defined as periods of low connectivity speeds. According to Nemertes Research, the situation will definitely hurt innovation on the Internet — a lack of reliability of connection speeds, will likely mean another Google orYouTube will have difficulty making inroads.

The study points out that the lack of investment could be holding back the time at which the internet reaches a ‘singularity’ (a point at which accelerating change creates an unpredictable outcome, such as the Internet becoming independently sentient). Nemertes Research expects the corporate and personal demand for Internet connectivity to grow exponentially during the next two years. Nemertes estimates that the financial investment required by access providers to bridge the gap between demand and capacity ranges from $42 billion to $55 billion, or roughly 60-70 percent more than service providers currently plan to invest. Damn, may be it’s a good time to start talking about this issue - or ban every YouTube-like website.

The broadband capacity of a geographic area is the direct determinant of the internet phone system service in that area. Modern internet telephones are compatible with the upgradeable internet phone software used by major service providers like vonage and the market leader, skype phone. Thanks to the latest advancements, telecommunication wonders like free long distance calls and voip conference are made possible for the masses.

Internet titan Google has announced plans to launch a file storage system, which will enable users to securely save files on the Google hard drive. The files will be available for access via the Internet, from computers and mobile devices anywhere in the world. The service will offer a yet-to-be-specified storage amount for free, with additional storage space available for purchase. The announcement of the storage service is apparently not new news, as rumors had been circulating in the past about a similar service, dubbed as Gdrive. The Wall Street Journal sees this new product as a way for Google to increase their stakes in the long-time rivalry with Microsoft.

There has been some concern regarding the issue of privacy, with the user’s files being posted on the internet, and will be accessible to hackers. A Google spokeswoman addressed this concern, saying “It is certainly approached with the utmost sensitivity on our end…We have extensive safeguards in place currently to protect our user data and we have a very strong track record in this regard.” Google has also assured attention towards copyright issues, as the storage service will allow file sharing, hence risking the illegal distribution of music and other copyrighted products.

More details available in WSJ report.

The idea of Gdrive resembles that of the storage quota on dedicated servers available on an extensive webhosting net. Among various cheap hosting services available, bluehost holds a mix of the features with optimal benefit as does 1and1 hosting service for a premium cost. Many web hosting review sites show the ranking of the whole lot of hosting services for data as well as best image hosting services.
